You can help ...

Citizens for Humane Action, Inc., is a volunteer, nonprofit animal shelter dedicated to finding homes for homeless cats and dogs with responsible individuals. We rely on our volunteers for their talents and generosity of time in order to accomplish this goal.

We can use your hands, your skills, your money, or just your good thoughts. Our volunteer program includes the following jobs:

In-shelter work
  • Work with the animals.
  • Maintenance/upkeep.
  • Office work.
Help with phones
  • Adoption followups.
  • Updating files.
  • Special events.
Fostering
  • Give CHA pets extra attention, love and all the comforts of home by keeping CHA animals in your home. It is a win-win for both the animal and you!
Fundraising committee
  • Plan and participate in fundraising functions.
  • Contact businesses for donation of items or services.
Office work
  • Answer phones.
  • Other miscellaneous jobs.

Even if you think you have nothing to offer CHA, consider filling out this form. If you want to help, there's something you can do.
