Donations to CHA
CHA depends on your generosity to help ensure the ongoing operation of
our Shelter. There are a number of ways you can help CHA fulfill its mission. First and foremost, being a completely donation-funded shelter, we rely mostly on monetary contributions from the public to continue helping homeless and abandoned animals in Central Ohio find loving homes. CHA is a 501C(3) non-profit organization that relies solely on the generosity of personal financial contributions, our own fundraising efforts, and adoptions, to continue saving homeless animals.
To donate directly to CHA's general operating fund, which goes directly toward the daily care and housing of our animals, you can do so online through PayPal by clicking the link below using your credit card or PayPal account.

Wish List. Kindhearted supporters can select items from our Wish List and drop the items off at the Shelter to help us care for our animals. Our Wish List contains non-monetary items that the shelter uses on a regular basis to help care for the animals and run the shelter (paper towels, bleach, office supplies). Our Wish List is great for group donations, such as supply drives at your office or business. For a complete Wish List of items, click here.
Support A Cage. You can Support a Cage at the shelter for either a Dog or a Cat for a low yearly fee of $50. Your donation will help defray the costs of caring for the animal in your cage, and your generosity will be acknowledged through an engraved nameplate on display at the shelter. Support a Cage yourself, or it makes a great and noble gift. To Support a Cage, click here.
Commemorative Brick. Commemorative Bricks are timeless ways to honor loved ones - people or pets - that still mean or have meant so much in your life. Your commemorative brick will be showcased in our memorial brick walkway leading to the shelter, complete with an engraved message of your choice. Commemorative bricks are $50 each, and can also make great gifts. To order a Commemorative Brick, click here.
Certificates of Caring. These certificates are great ways of celebrating the milestones of your animal-loving friends. A personalized certificate with a message from you will be delivered to your special designee honoring them and acknowledging a donation in their name to CHA. Certificates of Caring come in several denominations. To order a Certificate of Caring, click here.
Sponsor A Pet. Animals in our shelter need all the love and support they can get. You may not be able to adopt at this time, but you can always Sponsor A Pet, so other potential adopters know that this pet is special enough to be sponsored! When you Sponsor A Pet, you are sent a card with a photo and information on your sponsored pet. A sign is then placed on the animal's cage acknowledging your sponsorship. To Sponsor A Pet, click here.
Membership. Members of CHA enjoy many benefits, including our quarterly newsletter The Tail Waggin' Times, notifications of our upcoming events and fundraisers, voting rights and periodic offers & coupons. All this and a donation to support CHA and our programs. To become a member, click here.
Memorials. You can remember a special person or pet that has graced your life through the In Memory of program in our newsletter, The Tail Waggin' Times. Your memorial will be included in the issue of the newsletter following your request for all to share. To place a memorial, please fill out the following form and send it into CHA! To remember a person through a memorial, Click here.
Name A Pet. A great gift idea for the pet lover - let them name a CHA Animal Shelter Dog or Cat! A fun idea for kids of all ages. Click here for more information.
Emergency Medical Fund. How is CHA able to provide medical care when animals come to our shelter with serious injuries or other medical needs? With YOUR help, CHA has established an Emergency Medical Fund that is used to pay for non-routine medical expenses for dogs and cats. This fund is financed solely by donations. It is used to save lives, provide necessary medical care and surgeries, and improve the quality of life for animals who might otherwise have no hope. Learn more or donate to this fund here.
Spay and Neuter Fund. In 2008, CHA opened our own in-house spay and neuter clinic. Now all CHA animals are altered at our shelter, which cuts our costs considerably, and reduces stress on our animals as we do not have to transport them far after surgery. We ensure that all of our animals are altered before they are adopted, in an effort to end pet overpopulation. To donate to the spay/neuter fund to help us maintain these important services for our animals, click on the link below.

Enrichment Fund. While we try our best to get our animals adopted as quickly as possible, there are just some animals that can end up staying with us for extended periods of time. Even with the countless hours our volunteers spend caring for and giving attention to our animals, let's face it, they get bored. This is especially true with dogs, many of who are high-energy to begin with. That's why we've created our Enrichment Fund, which is used to purchase toys and services meant to enrich our dogs in their stay at CHA.
