Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday: 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

We invite you to visit the shelter and meet some of these dogs.
Adoption fees: Puppies (under 6 months) are $125, dogs (6 months and older) are $100, kittens (under 12 months) are $100, and cats are $70 (all prices include micro-chipping, spay/neuter, and all required shots).

All KnC dogs are/have been basic obedience trained in the Kids 'n' Canines program under the supervision of master trainer Elissa O'Sullivan. These are just some of the truly great dogs at CHA who have lots of personality and charm to share with their new families!

The CHA Lonely Hearts Club is for animals who have been at the shelter for a long time or who have special needs. They may be shy, frightened, or unhappy in the shelter, so they may not run to introduce themselves to visitors. But they do want to go home with you. The volunteers know these animals are special. All they need is a special person to take them home.

	Cleopatra Breed: Bull Terrier Mix Color: White / Tan DOB: 02/2007 Sex: Female Size: Large; > 50 lbs (posted; 12/2007) You can’t help but fall in love with this mutt-nificent lady. She is young, beautiful, full of life and waiting for you to come take her to her new palace. Cleopatra was found in an abandon house by dog wardens – it definitely wasn’t much of a home. A dog of unknown origin, we suspect Bull Terrier or American Pit Bull Terrier to be in the mix. She is very active and wants a home where she can run and play. Although you may not be able to tell in the shelter, she is actually very shy in new environments. She likes dogs of all sizes and has gotten along with cats in volunteer’s homes. She loves to go to doggie daycare and loves the dog park once she gets use to all the activity. Cleo has been though basic obedience and has expressed an interest in trying agility. Her one dream in life is to have her own chaise lounge to call her own!
	Tank Breed: Pit Bull / Terrier Color: Tan DOB: 06/2007 Sex: Male Size: Large; > 50 lbs (posted; 02/2008) Just look at that cute face, how can you resist it? Tank is a smart, loving little guy with a great personality. He enjoys taking walks and is very curious, as he likes to play with bugs and sticks along the way. He has had some obedience training and does very well with sit, down and come. He is working on heel, stay and leave it. He enjoys sitting on your lap and cuddling, but is also energetic and loves to play. He is looking for a loving family to take him home so he can start his new life in his forever home. Tanks goal in life is to find the most comfortable chair to sleep in.
	Candy Breed: Mix Color: Black / White DOB: 06/2007 Sex: Female Size: Large; > 50 lbs (posted; 03/2008) Candy Girl is a darling, playful, 1 year old mixed breed dog who would love to be in a home with older kids or dogs to play with.
	Guiness Breed: Shepherd Mix Color: Tan / Black DOB: 03/2008 Sex: Male Size: Large; > 50 lbs (posted; 04/2008) What a happy boy! Guinness is a young dog who needs lots of exercise, love and attention. If you are looking for a goofy mutt….Guiness is the dog for you!
	Snape Breed: Shepherd Mix Color: Black / Tan DOB: 01/2006 Sex: Male Size: Large; > 50 lbs (posted; 04/2008) Snape is a 2 year old fun-loving, active dog that would be great in a home with older kids and/or another dog to play with.

	Jose Breed: Poodle Mix Color: Buff DOB: 01/2003 Sex: Male Size: Small; < 20 lbs (posted; 05/2008) Despite all he has been through, Jose’ has a wonderful disposition! Jose’ is a poodle mix who was found in horrible shape, lost and wandering in the woods. He was so matted he could barely move, we couldn’t even tell if he was a boy or a girl. When he was shaved, his skin was so infected from all the tick bites that he has been on antibiotics for weeks. He is also suffering from a leg and knee injury. Jose’ is scheduled in June 2008 for two surgeries with 6 weeks of recovery. Even with a grant from RASCAL CHARITIES, the shelter cost will be $800.00. CHA Animal Shelter has a special program called the EMERGENCY MEDICAL FUND for animals who are in need of special medical treatment. It is through your donations that we are able to have this program to help animals like Jose’. Please help by donating today. Make checks payable to CHA Animal Shelter and note EMF in memo. 	Crickett Breed: Sheppard Mix Color: Black / Tan DOB: 08/2005 Sex: Female Size: Large; > 50 lbs (posted; 05/2008) Cricket is a 3 year old, active, pretty girl who would love to accompany you on picnics this summer! What a sweetheart! She is enrolled in a training class at the shelter learning sit, stay down, and heel, and would benefit from continuing classes after she’s adopted.

	Kieran Breed: Hound Mix Color: Black DOB: 07/2007 Sex: Male Size: Medium; Between 20 & 50 lbs (posted; 06/2008) Keiran is so much cuter in person than in his photo! He is a sweet, shy, playful, hound mix puppy. It’s worth a visit to the shelter just to see his beautiful eyelashes!
	Malibu Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Color: Brindle DOB: 06/2005 Sex: Female Size: Large; > 50 lbs (posted; 06/2008) Looking for snuggle buddy? Then Malibu is the dog for you! We think she is a pit bull mix…so that means she is sweet, smart, and loyal! She is enrolled in a training class at the shelter learning sit, stay down, and heel, and would benefit from continuing classes after she’s adopted (rumor has it she’s at the top of the class!).
