Our mission is to serve the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation by means of spay and neuter, education and community outreach, and we have been doing so since 1975.

Adoption fees, designed to help offset a portion of the costs of food, shelter, and medical care, are currently:
- Puppies (under 6 months) $140
- Dogs (6 months and older) $100
- Kittens (under 6 months) $100
- Cats (6 months and over) $70
All prices include microchipping, spaying/neutering, and required vaccinations.
Adoption fees DO NOT cover our costs to care for and house our animals, only a small portion of these costs. We rely on a large portion of our operating budget to come from generous donations from people like you. Click here for ways to help CHA.
